Description
Original pastel portrait of Town Clown, one of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's favorite hunters, by artist Angelo Calamuso. Calamuso's abililty to so perfectly capture the beauty, elegance, and regal nature of horses have helped to make him one of the most popular equine artists in the New York metropolitan area. Scott Milne commissioned the portrait as a gift for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1985. The portrait, "Town Clown," is titled (lower left) and signed and dated (lower right) by the artist. "Town Clown" has appeard in many publications and photographs. Framed and matted.
Also included are 4 color photographs of Mrs. Onassis on Town Clown with Scott Milne on Midnight during a winter ride. These photographs were all taken at Red Gate Farm, which was Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's farm in Peapack New Jersey. A stamp in the verso of all four photographs indicates a date of March 1984. Accompanied by the original Venture Stationery photo envelope. Portrait: 16.5 x 19.5" (sight); frame: 25 x 28". Photographs: 3.5 x 5".
