Description

Original Republic of Texas Court Summons signed by Sheriff Robert Stevenson, dated 1838. Stevenson was a close friend of Davy Crockett, and was named the administrator or Crockett's estate and was Crockett's largest credito. This is a scarce lawenforcement signature from the Republic of Texas, signed by 2 clerks on the front with notation on verso showing with was served. Signed on the verso "R. Stevenson, Sheriff". Excellent piece of Texas History.
