Original handwritten letter, Gallatin, Tenn, dated April 11, 1836. Written by George W. Dickinson to Friends. There is a passage in the letter which reads "We understand that the great man Crockett is Dead. He went to Texas to fight the Spaniardsand indians, which took the fort and we understand that Crockett killed himself...." Unpublished letter, new to the market. Worth examining and researching....
