Condition: Very good. Nice paperstock. Slight edge toning and finger soiling. A couple of 0.5 cm or less splits. Uncolored. Issued centerfold.

This is an attractive map of England and Wales. Great detail is given to identify rivers, lakes, the shoreline, cities, towns, and roads/paths. The counties are noted as well. The title cartouche is flanked by two female figures; Britannia holding her shield and another supporting a sailing vessel, likely signifying the British naval ambition of the time. It is from A Complete System Of Geography, and was engraved by Thomas Kitchin.
