Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. Three delightful ceramic musical instruments - two ocarinas and one rattle - of zoomorphic form. Two are highly abstract, while the third is a crocodilian figure wearing a hat and seemingly saluting the viewer from his perch atop a tall, cylindrical rattle. Size of largest: 1.65" W x 4.75" H (4.2 cm x 12.1 cm)
