To the unaided eye, this piece appears to be in very good condition. The piece has a fine craquelure throughout the background which appears to be stable. The piece has been relined. Inspection under ultraviolet light shows no signs of damage or restoration. The piece is framed in a dark antiqued gold leaf molding with carved details in its corners. The frame is in good condition, showing normal signs of wear for its age. The gold has been touched up on the four outer corners of the frame.
