1870 Three Years of the Federal Cavalry, 1st ed.

Three Years in the Federal Cavalry by Willard Glazier. First Edition. From the daily journal he kept throughout the war the author gives firsthand accounts of the remarkable features and events of the cavalry movements and engagements in Virginia and elsewhere during the campaigns of the Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War. Raids, expeditions and fights are related from a man who was present during these historic activities. Published 1870 by R. H. Ferguson & Company. One tip peeking through and another just starting to. One spot on bottom edge worn through. Tiny bit of fraying at spine ends. Some soiling to covers. Half-dollar size stain on rear cover. Spine faded. Gilt titling on cover still vivid, less so on spine. Front hinge cracked but holding pretty well. Some foxing and stains to inside illustrations. 339 pages. 5.5 x 7.75.
