Cosmonauts. 8” x 6” flyer, in Russian, issued in honor of the launch of Luna 7 on October 4, 1965 signed by four cosmonauts, three of whom are noted for significant “space firsts”. Signing are Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968),  he was the first human to journey into outer space, when his Vostok spacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on April 12, 1961, Valentina Tereshkova (1937- ), she is the first woman to have flown in space, aboard Vostok 6 on June 16, 1963 and Vladimir Komarov (1927-1967) who perished aboard Soyuz 1, the first human to die in a space flight when it crashed to earth on April 24, 1967. Also signed by Gherman Titov (1935-2000), who became the second human to orbit the Earth, aboard Vostok 2, preceded by Yuri Gagarin on Vostok 1.
