Scarce 1935 Flash Gordon Pop-up book in great condition Flash Gordon the Tournament of Death by Alex Raymond (first edition). The Illustrated Pop-up Edition. Early super-hero animated book with three pop-ups. Mild rubbing to tips (1/8” tear at end of one tip; one tip bumped). Very minor scuffing to spine edge. Tiny chip at spine foot; tiny tear at rear of spine head. Foot and head of spine with tiny bits of scuffing and a small bump at head). Tiny bit of fading to cover background color. Hinges solid. Pop-ups appear to be near perfect with just one tiny ¼” tear at extreme edge of fold on final pop-up. Mostly clean and presentable inside with extremely small and light bits of foxing at outside lower edges of first and third pop-up pages. A remarkably well-preserved example. 16 pages plus pop-up endpapers. Published 1935 by Pleasure Books. 8 x 9.25. Very good.
