Description
A PAIR OF HAND PAINTED ECCLESIASTICAL PAINTINGS, GERMAN, CIRCA 1889-1928. The first being a design for a large circular stained glass window depicting the face of Christ, inscribed lower right with the date June 1889, 15 inches x 12.25 inches (38 x 31 cm). Together with a painting likely being a mural study depicting the female Saint Radegund, Saint Wendelin of Trier, Saint Thomas More, and Saint Agnus, inscribed on lower margin figures in the church in Schkeuditz, dated 1928 and initialed FR. B most likely for Franz Buschmeyer (1873-1952).
