Description
A PAIR OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR ILLUSTRATIONS, PROBABLY FOR POSTCARDS, CIRCA 1920. The first depicting a young girl preparing to bathe in a stream as hedgehogs and birds look on, signed lower right by noted illustrator, Curt Junghandel (German 1874-1953), 12.5 inches x 9.75 inches (32 x 25 cm). Together with another illustration depicting an amorous couple in a summer landscape, below inscribed in German "Ach wie ist's moglich dann" (Oh, how is it possible then?) and further inscribed below in German with a romantic adage, 11.25 inches x 7.5 inches (28.5 x 19 cm).
