The valued Chinese Zitan wood, masterly carved unto two octagonal Flori-form shaped body, of eight lobed ruyi shaped pattern in eight direction. The upper half forming the cover fitting perfectly along the scalloped edges on the box. The lid decorated with Mother of Pearl inlaid of stylized interlocking ruyi motif, with centralized red-coral and lapis-lazuli inlaid medallion. The Zitan wood display smooth lustrous dense hardwood with dark purple-brown patina and feathery fine grain.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. NO missing inlaid. Some stress of wear. Natural wood imperfection, wood joint mark, minor scratches and dents. Normal consider ages and wears.
