Eva Zeisel, a rare Pals decoration pattern Cup and Saucer Western Stoneware Company’s Eva Zeisel Fine Stoneware, Monmouth Pottery, Monmouth, Illinois, circa 1953-1954. Standard blue backstamp. Height of cup: 2 1/4 in. (5.5 cm). 1620-224

Note: Bette Cooper, co-author of Monmouth Western Stoneware (1983), was an unofficial archivist for the factory and collected examples of these works, including test pieces, as they came off the line.
