Description
A wonderful Egyptian bicolor faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 – 332 BC, depicted mummiform, standing on integral base, wearing tripartite wig with false beard, arms folded at chest, hands holding hoes, bag over left shoulder, vertical plinth down back, horizontal and vertical columns of hieroglyphic text on front. A fantastic example with olive green glaze, the wig and bearded in black. H: 3 in (7.6 cm). Well-preserved with great style! Ex Steve Rubinger.
