Description
FRENCH JAPY FRERES SLATE AND MARBLE TAMBOUR CLOCK, eight-day brass movement with count wheel, with Japy Freres "GDE. MED. D' HONNEUR" mark, and bell chime, housed in a black slate case with green marble accents, beveled-glass door; porcelain dial with Roman numerals. Lacking pendulum. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 11" H, 17 7/8" x 5 5/8" OA.
Excellent condition overall, a single minor chip and some scattered flakes to case, dial with a spider crack, and some chipping/flaking around key holes. Unknown working condition, lacking pendulum.
