Description
A letter of recommendation for the 'Kehilot Ya'akov' Yeshiva (in memory of Rabbi Yisrael Ya'akov Kanievsky, the "Steipler"). On the upper part of the letter, a photocopy of a letter by Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky about the Yeshiva, its foundation and activity. On the lower part of the letter, the Rebbe, the 'Berach Moshe' of Satmar added a few handwritten lines calling to support the Yeshiva. Three lines handwritten and signed by him. 1988.
Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum of Satmar (1914-2006) was at first a rabbi and Rebbe in Siget, Hungary (replacing his father the Rebbe rabbi Chaim Zvi Teitelbaum, author of 'Atzei Chaim'). During the Holocaust, he was sent with his family to Auschwitz, where his wife and three children were murdered. After the Holocaust, he immigrated to the USA. After the death of his uncle and rabbi, the Rebbe Rabbi Yoel of Satmar in 1979, he replaced him as the Rebbe of Satmar.
