A single folded letter sheet in ink dated May 26, 1845 dealing with the robbing of the grave of a four or five year old child girl named Hope Still Elizabeth Jones, daughter of Isaac Jones of Hayfield†by James N. Wade, Thos. Clewson, John Carr, J.H. Woodwaid, Saml. G. Ramsey, Wm. Davis Jr., Saml. -----, L.H. Sherwood, J.R. Jones, Richard Hope, H. Roberts & John H. Mattocks.†This justice of the peace document is signed by 13 witnesses many of which were the robbers themselves.
