Cutting, and John A. Griswold, among others, detailing their disagreements with the platform of the 1864 Democratic convention in Chicago, IL; "THE PLATFORMS", detailing the differences between the 1864 Republican platform of Lincoln and Johnson, and the Democratic platform of McClellan and Pendleton, as outlined by their respective national conventions; and "WHO SHALL BE VICE-PRESIDENT? / SHALL HE BE A LOYAL OR A DISLOYAL MAN?", arguing in favor of Andrew Johnson, against George Pendleton. The "WHAT GENUINE DEMOCRATS THINK. . ." example double-sided, remainder single sided, three published by the National Union Executive Committee, Astor House, New York. Unframed, in protective sleeve. Circa 1864. Each approximately 11 1/2" x 8 3/4" OA.
