Large untitled 1983 lithograph by renowned German Expressionist A. R. Penck, (1939-2017.) Signed in pencil and numbered 7/25.
Born in Dresden, Penck was considered a dissident by the East German communist regime and kept under surveillance. Penck became world famous in the 1980s, with shows at the Martin Gropius Bau museum and the Tate and was included in many important shows worldwide. A brilliant jazz drummer, Penck was a member of the free jazz group T.T.T. ("Triple Trip Touch") and played with some of the best jazz musicians of the late 20th century.
Matted, unframed.
Sheet size is aprox. 29 3/4" x 25"
