Description
NATIVE AMERICAN STONE GORGET, banded slate, rectangular form with concave sides. Presented in a butterfly case; retains copy of "Prehistoric Antiquities & Archeological News Quarterly", November 2012, vol. XXXII, no. 4, in which it is pictured. Reserve. Adena Culture; Seneca Co. OH. Late Archaic to early Woodland period, 3500-2500 B.P. 4" x 2 1/2" OA.
Excellent as-found condition, one chip on a corner, a couple small flakes.
