Description
Age: Believed to be Song Dynasty.
Description: An interesting and seldom seen scalloped diminutive bowl/dish. The bowl is very elegantly potted with a spiral ribbing and scalloped edges possibly to evoke a stylized flower (chrysanthemum?), all covered in a clear glaze with a very slight greenish-blue tinge to it, the glaze covering the whole of the dish except under the foot rim which remains unglazed. The overall porcelain is translucent and has a soft pink / orange color when a light is put through it.
Size: 4 9/16", 11cm.
Provenance: From a French collector, acquired in Paris.
