Description
A Vintage Commemorative Silver Plated Tray from the NRA of India in appreciation of assistance given in the National Shooting Competition. With the names of several prominent India dignitaries including the Maharaja Bhim Singh II who was the last ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Kotah. The Maharaja was an expert shooter, he was Captain of the Indian shooting team at the Singapore Shooting Championships in 1969, at the 1976 Summer Olympics and at the 1978 Asian Games. The tray is marked Silver and is silver plated 8". In addition there is a mounted and framed. (no glass) group of Imperial Grouse Feathers from Bikaner Rajasthan, from a hunt with Karni Singh, M.P., the Maharaja of Bikaner. Measures 6"x 8" in frame. The final piece is a Small Silk Embroidered Banner from the NRA India, 9"x10". . Weight all 1 pd. PROVENANCE: This estate was attached to the US Embassy in India, mid 20th century.
