Description
A Russian gilded silver, cloisonne, and plique-a-jour enamel serving spoon, Grachev Brothers, ST Petersburg, circa 1890. The egg-shape bowl pierced with scrolling foliate motifs and decorated with plique-a-jour enamel in shades of turquoise, royal blue, green, and red, the back of the bowl with enameled with a tomato red ground, the shaped handle with conforming ornament. Struck with Cyrillic initials AP of an unrecorded workmaster. Length: 7 3/8 in. (18.7 cm). 1013-249
