Description
Bitumen (Dead Sea stone) cup decorated with engraving work of holy places: the Kotel, the Cave of Doubles. Location of the Mikdash and Rachel’s Tomb. In the upper portion is the engraving: Jerusalem. A similar goblet appears in the “Artists of the Land of Israel in the 19th century” (published by the Israel Museum, Jerusalem 1979, pages 151-153). Height: 15cm, diameter: 8cm. Good condition.
