EUGENE BLOT FRENCH TERRACOTTA CERAMIC FIGURATIVE GROUP: Eugene Blot (French, 1830-1899), titled "Pecheur" and "Pecheuse de Crevettes", terracotta sculptures, each with incised signature and title on base. Companion sculptures of a fisherman and fisherwoman, each depicted standing on a rocky naturalistic base. Woman modeled with her hand on her hip and opposite hand around a fishing net. She wears a scarf around her head tied at the neck, jacket and skirt with bare feet. Her companion is a bearded man with his arms crossed in front of him and crossed legs. He wears a knotted scarf at neck, broad brimmed hat, and high wading boots. At his feet is a full basket of fish, each approximately 10.5"h.
