Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. This is a collection of three complementary jars, all varying deep red colors, from the West Mexican shaft tomb cultural tradition. The largest has a particularly interesting, bulbous shape. Size of largest: 6" diameter x 3-1/2" H (15 cm x 9 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Olan collection, California, by family descent, acquired 1960 to 1970.
