This is the Grosset & Dunlap hardcover publication, copyright-dated 1933, of Erskine Caldwell's most famous novel, God's Little Acre (303 numbered pages, plus 7-page appendix relating to the court decision regarding the pornography claim against the book). This copy was the property of the jazz virtuoso Benny Carter, whose bookplate is attached to the front end page. There are no other stamps or attachments. There is no writing. The book is in very good condition, with no page tears or notable creases, no fade to any text, no stains, other than border sunning, to the pages. The cover (app. 5.75" x 8.25"), red cloth with green lettering, is sunned to the spine, which is straight and securely attached. It has a few light scuffs, but no significant stains.
