19th Century Qing Dynasty Chinese silk Kesi panel slit tapestry. Finely decorated with metallic threads showing front facing imperial blue dragon with four cornering four smaller dragons, all reserved against colorful scrolling ruyi clouds and flames against the yellow ground. Bordered with rocky mountain and cresting LiShui wavy water motifs. The tapestry has a smooth surface and appears exactly the mirrored images as on the front and back. Matted in grayish-blue, set behind glass, wooden framed.
