Description
Extraordinary Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain tea pot, potted in globular body, heavy on the shoulder, raised upon a flat base, with dome lid crowned by a gilt overglazed simply bud finial. Flanked with gracious curved spout and a simply looped handle. The exterior decorated vividly with vigorous dragons overlapping in pursuit of the flaming pearl.
The tea pot elegantly presented upon a carved hardwood stand. Fitted unto a yellowish-brown silk covered hard cushion, with purple metallic ribbon pedestal. All sets within the original slide-lidded silk covered wooden box.
Mark on the receded clean white underglaze base, six underglaze blue script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed within double fine rings, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing.

PROVENANCE: From New York Estate Sales and Auctions Near The Hudson, 1928. The same collections can be found from Lot-269 through Lot-322.
