Susan Brownell Anthony (February 15, 1820 – March 13, 1906) was an American social reformer and women's rights activist who played a pivotal role in the women's suffrage movement. Having devoted her life to the creation and support of organizations for women, she moved to Los Angeles in 1875, where she was known as “The Mother of Clubs.” Rebecca Spring(1811-1911) She was a Quaker, and part of the abolitionist, feminist, and transcendentalist movements.
