SIOUX / PLAINS INDIAN BEADED BAGS, LOT OF TWO, comprising an unsigned Dorothy Little Elk brain-tanned buckskin pipe bag having beadwork mouth and collar, "lazy" stitched beadwork full-round above base of bag, with one side featuring a turtle design, and the other featuring tipis, American flags, and a cross, all above a quill-work section issuing from the base of the bag, and terminating in buckskin fringe; and an unsigned Rosalie Little Thunder brain-tanned buckskin bag in the form of a warshirt bib, having "lazy" stitched beadwork to face, buckskin fringe to three sides, with additional metal adornment along bottom edge, and small brass hawk bell closure. Retains letter from Diana K. Miller describing the pieces. Sicangu/Rosebud Sioux. Fourth quarter 20th century. 12" and 32" LOA, including fringe.
