Description
Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, MD and VA origin, second half 19th century, a two-gallon jar with swag decoration, attributed to David Parr, Jr., possibly in partnership with Thomas Keesee, Richmond, VA; a one-gallon semi-ovoid jar with clover decoration; and a one-gallon cylindrical jar with split-stemmed clover motif. Richmond jar with several rim chips and a tight spider line on underside. Semi-ovoid Baltimore jar in excellent condition with a small rim chip and two salt drips to body. Cylindrical Baltimore jar in essentially as-made condition with bloated spots throughout and a minor in-the-firing chip to interior of rim.
