Set of Four Early Victorian Sterling Silver Salt Cellars
hallmarked London, 1838-1839, by Mary & Richard Sibley (fl. 1836-1838), retailed by Robert Makepeace & Co., cauldron form, with wavy gadrooned rim, the body elaborately decorated with engraved and flat-chased rococo shells and scrolls on imbricate and diapered grounds, raised on four shell-crested scroll-and-stepped-pad feet, the interiors gilt, engraved with the crest of Moses et al. (a cock regardant proper) and monogrammed "JM".

Condition
**A very handsome set with no condition issues other than some light wear consistent with age and use, including some fading to the gilding, light scratches on the bowl interiors, and scattered nicks and scuffs. Lovely decoration.
