Description
Bird in Blue Egg statue, inspired by the artist: Jheronimus Bosch (ca.1450–1516) The bird in the blue egg being carried by men on the left of the panel looks like a hoopoe. This ‘crowned’ bird stood for uncleanliness because it didn’t keep a clean nest. In the Middle Ages it also symbolised visiting prostitutes. THE GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS Hiëronymus Bosch shows us how we mortal souls, arisen from earthly paradise, are on our way to the atrocious ordeals of hell via our unchaste lives on earth. Packaged carefully and sent by registered transport, including original storage box and certificate.
