Description

In a Doris Langley Moore Letter: â€œAll were bought by me from a niece of Mrs. Toogood, one of the Queenâ€™s dressers and quite beyond questionâ€. The clothing items are of the Queenâ€™s size during her elder years and conform to her taste. White cambric A-line having lace trim to the boatneck, shoulder and cap sleeve, two-button closure to each shoulder, monogram "VR" surmounted by crown over the number "36". The Queen was known to purchase lingerie in large quantities which were numbered, possibly to designate which residence they were intended for, B-66, L-34. (1-inch tear to lace on one sleeve) excellent.
