Relined canvas retaining stretcher bars. Yellowing/toning of the varnish layer; areas of inpainting and probably repaired tear center right (sky above dome and some on dome); signs of inpainting upper mid- left (sky), by and along edges and mid-center (pediment with windows); small scattered areas of inpainting mid-right and left (sky). Antique gilt frame with surface marks, nicks, abrasions and cracks; small losses along edges in corners.
