Item Details
Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A tall amber-hued glass vessel, free-blown and tubular in form, with a small protruding bottom section and a bulb-shaped tip. An elongated conical body has thick walls and rounded, gently-tapering shoulders which terminate at a slightly-pinched neck base, and dozens of miniscule bubble-shaped inclusions. Twin applied looped trail handles grace each side of the body, and a tall cylindrical neck with a narrow mouth completes the flask. The entirety of the exterior is blanketed in thick layers of silver- and rainbow-hued iridescence, giving an already-attractive flask a simply stunning presentation! Size: 8" H (20.3 cm); 9" H (22.9 cm) on included custom stand.
