I don’t know if this full bodied stick-up Duck Decoy is a real species or someone’s vivid imagination, but it is a wonderfully funky bird with original painted surface (wonderful dry paint), a crest and carved wing tips. It is mounted on a wooden stand. In addition to the white eye batches and white belly, the bird’s underside is a rust color and there are painted feathers on the sides. It stands 10” tall, including the stand, and the beak to tail distance is 11.75”; the base is 3.75” x 3.5”. It is in very fine condition with no splits, cracks or breaks; only some minor paint rubbing on the left side of the head and a tiny chip on the left edge of the tail. No carver’s signature.
