Description
Late Roman / possibly early Byzantine, ca. 4th to 6th century CE. A pretty pendant made from two discs of cast bronze, held together by two bronze pins (one still remaining) at hinges top and bottom. The surface of each disc is decorated with a broad stippled cross pattern inside a stippled border. Size: 1.25" W x 1.9" H (3.2 cm x 4.8 cm)

Cord shown in photograph is not included. One of the bronze pins is missing. Rich dark green patina on surface. Light scratching, mainly on edges, commensurate with age.
