Description
A pair of Coptic textile fragments, Roman/Byzantine Egypt, c. 4th - 7th Century AD, in linen and wool, the larger with three registers, two containing standing human figures and the third a horned antelope, 11 1/4 x 3 in (26.5 x 7.6 cm). The second is an embroidered strip in dark brown with medallions containing floral elements, 8 x 1 3/4 in (29.2 x 3.5 cm). Ex Nomis Antiquities.
