Description
A nice Tairona ceramic votive in the form of a coiled serpent, Colombia, c. AD 1000 - 1500, the head and scales well-modeled, the serpent has coiled itself around a small animal whose head protrudes from the center of the coils. 4 x 3 1/8 in (10.1 x 7.9 cm). Well-preserved with nicely light brown slip and mineral deposits. Ex Arte Xibalba, Florida.
