Dr. Olaf Skinsnes who founded the leprosy lab at Leahi Hospital and was also professor of pathology at the University of Hawaii. Dr. Olaf R. Skinsnes was born April 20, 1917 in Xinyang Henan, China. He became a doctor and cured the disease of Leprosy in Chines. He collected porcelain for many yearsand died Jan 8, 1998. Many pieces from his collection were sold at Christie's auction.
