(lot of 2) Exceptional grade diplomatic presentation sabre and dagger presented to the Kremlin and Boris Yeltsin. Executed for the Jubilee Celebration of Moscow's 850th anniversary in 1995, designed by lead artist, Y.B Ryabkov under direction of V.A Naumov by decree of the Guild of Purveyers to the Moscow Kremlin. The sabre is executed in the style of the Russian Light Cavalry with blade measuring 31 7/8", a standard two wire wrap grip and stirrup style guard, offset by the engraved hilt decorated with a running floral and geometric pattern continuing to the scabbard and throat, sword ring, and drag, details include Russian icons. Dagger executed in the classic Kindjal style with 8 7/8" blade of Obukov Damascus steel, blade, hilt and scabbard are all heavily engraved, pairing with the sabre, the sheath also heavily engraved, and centered with the celebration date, Provenance: Boris Yeltsin to Nursaltan Nazarbayev to Nurlan Balgimbayev, then gifted to current owner, long time friend, as a token of esteem
