Description
A nice Etruscan bucchero oinochoe, Italic, c. 6th Century BC, the roughly ovoid body with flared ring foot and decorated with bands of incised horizontal lines, the base of the narrow neck with a rounded ridge, and the widely flared pouring spout and flat handle in imitation of metal-ware. H: 7 1/8 in (18cm). Well-preserved with ight mineral deposits on the surface. Ex collection of Dr. Howard Sirak, Columbus, OH.
