Description
A mokko form iron tsuba with somewhat rough surface decorated with a man playing flute on the back of an ox (Ushiwakamaru, Minamoto no Yoshitsune) and a peasant with a mattock in his hands and a basket on his back; a distant two-summit mountain with a temple on top. Faces, grasses, temple, and other small details inlaid in soft metals (shakudo, copper, gold). Two woven baskets inlaid with silver on the reverse. Unsigned.
