Chinese Qing Dazi silk tapestry, of 19th c. Finely decorated with elaborate thread-work showing two ascending dragons clutching flaming pearls and soaring through scrolling clouds and wispy flames. Cumulus clouds are vibrantly colored with various hues. Bordering the focal scene is a beautiful orange silk border with clouds surrounding the longevity character. The entire scene is depicted upon a bright imperial yellow background. The tapestry has a pristine surface, with a golden-yellow backing.
