Exquisite Xuande Chinese porcelain High bowl. Meticulous finish covers the delicate clay, showing silky smooth sheen on the glaze. Deep porcelain bowl, with rounded cavetto rising to form the steep curvature, raised on a splayed countersunk tall foot base. Depiction of Thrashing Long Five-claws dragon amongst dense Li-shui waves, reaching for flaming pearls. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity. Evenly coated in a rich blue painting. Banded with a fine double ring on the inner and outer rim. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finish is meticulous.


Mark on inner foot rim, a six underglaze blue script -KaiShu- characters reign mark, Made in The Years of XuanDe Reign Period of Great Ming.
