A Large Chinese 18th/19th Century Porcelain plant pot. Of a trumpet shaped body, rendered with straight sides and a squared lip on a base, the exterior decorated in hand painting within a quatre-foil flori-form cartouche in orange-red underglaze depicted group of female figures in harvesting activities within a garden scene, alternately on reverse with the immortal "Shoulao" beneath a shade tree with an attendant and deer laid on his feet. Two shaped medallions with correspondence design painted in between. All surrounded with gilt floral motifs against monochrome cobalt blue ground. The underside left unglazed with orange-brownish firing spots with edge-cut foot rim.
