The rounded body of the bowls is finely potted with steep sides, raised on a low foot ring. The exterior is decorated in DouCai design hand painting, opaque color filled between fine cobalt blues drawing lines, of red and green striding dragons amidst flames and fumes. Borders of thin lines incised near the top and foot rims and a clear blue color on a very white paste are characteristic features. Similar design decorated on central interior.

Mark on base, six blue script -KaiShu-characters enclosed within double fine blue rings, KangXi Reign Period of Great Qing.
