Standard glaze humidor decorated with a man smoking a pipe, painted by Bruce Horsfall in 1894 and then sent for Gorham where the silver overlay was applied. Marks include the Rookwood logo, which indicates the date, shape 683, an impressed W for White clay and Mr. Horsfall's incised monogram. The silver is marked Gorham MFG Co and R-1596. There is fine overall crazing and a couple of tight lines visible on the inside of the lid. Height is 5 7/8 inches.
